AVTOVAZ started the LADA VESTA NG production

The new generation LADA Vesta is a highly localized car. Its engine, gearbox, body, chassis components, seats and other elements are manufactured in Russia. The car is in general localized at a record 4500 points (according to the 719th Resolution), being ahead of the majority of new passenger cars with production set up in Russia last year.
Previously, the LADA Vesta cars were produced at the LADA-Izhevsk. In 2022, after foreign partner of AVTOVAZ left Russia, it was decided to significantly increase the LADA Vesta production output. To do this, the LADA Vesta production was transferred to the site in Togliatti. In 2022, special attention was also paid to necessary components’ localization. In general, more than 200 components and units are now manufactured in Russia, shipments to AVTOVAZ are made by new partners from friendly countries.
The new generation LADA Vesta is equipped with two front airbags, ABS. The car features LED optics (headlights, fog lights, rear lights), heated windshield, heated mirrors and front seats, air conditioning, rear parking sensors, multimedia system with control on the steering wheel and 7-inch touch screen, 17-inch alloy wheels, etc.
Prime minister of the Russian Federation, Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, Governor of the Samara region Dmitry Azarov and AVTOVAZ President Maksim Sokolov attended the solemn event dedicated to the first serial car rolling off the line.
“I thank all, who worked on the LADA Vesta NG car creation in difficult conditions. I would like to mention that AVTOVAZ is quickly recovering after foreign partners left Russia and aims at accelerated substitution of foreign components. Russian suppliers of more than 200 components and materials were found only last year”, Denis Manturov noted. In turn, AVTOVAZ President Maksim Sokolov told: “The company keeps on developing in the conditions of the most difficult external challenges in the whole AVTOVAZ history. We thank the Russian Government and regional authorities for the support being provided to us and our team. The new generation Vesta is a flagship of the LADA lineup, which to reappear in the dealerships already in May and to rightfully take leading positions in the Russian car market. I thank AVTOVAZ team for the work done in the shortest possible term. This is a real feat of labor”.
Governor of the Samara region Dmitry Azarov also thanked the company team for intensive work, enabled the car manufacturing company of the region to return to development. “The LADA Vesta NG production is an extremely important event in the life of AVTOVAZ and country’s auto industry. This is the achievement of the whole work team of our company and answer to those, who tries to break economic and industry power of Russia with unprecedented sanctions”, he noted.
AVTOVAZ expects the new generation LADA Vesta to be shipped to more than 300 dealerships in May 2023 after the necessary stock of ready-made cars is accumulated. Competitive prices and trim levels’ equipment will be announced later on.
